5 On Friday – Begins Again

5-year-birthday-cake

Awhile back our friend Travis brought an end to 5 on Friday. This meme has now been picked up again by Michael Golch. Visit his site to connect with others putting up their weekly suggestions.

Since we are beginning again, that will be the subject for this week.

From the musical Scrooge – Sammy Davis, Jr. singing “I’ll Begin Again”

As we travel together … We’re “On The Road Again” courtesy of Willie Nelson

The sweet sounds of The Carpenters and “We’ve Only Just Begun”

With this much music, somebody will dance so Michael Buble sings Cole Porter’s “Begin The Beguine”

WOOOoooo HOOOoooo!!! Welcome back to 5 on Friday, Jamie! I’ve missed you SO much!

Mike and I have been holding the fort on our own since Travis’ final set a few months ago. Mike and I have been having fun, and now it’s so wonderful to have your set to enjoy this week!

Your first tune by Sammy Davis Jr seems like it was meant specifically for me. Lots of change going on in my life this year.

About Me

Retired great grandmother living in the Northwest US. Former radio Public Service Director and National Accounts Manager.

I’m a hair-dishevelled heilan’ coo,
Hamish McKay be ma name;
Welcome tae this dreichet glen
I’m cursed tae ca’ ma hame.
Depending on the mood I’m in
I’ll raise ma horns on high,
An’ if I like the look o’ ye
I’ll likely let ye by.
But should I dinnae like the look
O’ ye, then tak great care,
I’ll raise ma horns on high again,
Go on, get oot o’there!
So whether welcome yae or nae,
I’ll raise these horns sae mean,
Then ye shall ken ma meaning
By the twinkle o’ ma een.
