On Saturday you may be participating in the NO KINGS march. After all that walking, you will probably be pretty tired which is as good a reason as any to take part in Earth Hour.
It is a very small inconvenience. In fact you could just go to sleep early and get some extra rest. If you really must watch TV, stare at a computer screen or just sit up reading, for this one night, turn out the lights, turn off the computer, unplug. Don’t use 60 minutes worth of energy from 8:30 – 9:30 PM your time. Send the dark around the world and see the light about conserving energy for all.
Earth Hour 2026 will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM local time. As the 20th anniversary of the initiative, millions of people worldwide will turn off non-essential lights to raise awareness about climate change and nature loss, supporting the WWF’s call to “give an hour for Earth”.

Thanks to human habitation and all of the use of electricity, there are very few “Dark Places” left on earth where you can look up and truly see the stars. You may want to add one of these locations on your things to do list.
