JAMIE’S PLACE FOR STUFF

A Stroll Though Memory, Time and Politics With Stops Along The Way

Bloggingham

Queen Mimi Pencil Skirt of Bloggingham Castle is still very much with us, but her blog pretty much ceased to exist several years ago. I am assiduously trying to get the royal behind off her throne to resurrect said blog. In the meantime, I intend to play a few of the memes she created that I missed. I wouldn’t put it past her to throw me in the dungeon for failure to cooperate. All who know the queen, know that the dungeon is a fearsome place only avoided by abject groveling. Hence – A grovel.

Welcome to the Queen’s Meme 7 Royal Questions

The Games Meme

People play games. Children play games. Sometimes adults acting like children play games. Facebook people play games. All God’s chillun play games. What kind of games do YOU play?

1. What was your favorite outside game as a child?

As an only child, the only time I played with others was recess and I became a master at Jacks. Still pretty good decades later even with a fancy 20 jack shooting stars.

2.  What is your board game of choice?

Clue and I always play Miss Scarlet.

3.What are your favorite apps or games on Facebook?

None. I do play several of the New York Times games daily with my favorite being Connections as I like figuring out the related words.

4. If you could design a game about your life, what would you call it?

Wanderlust – A board and dice game with the goal of hitting every major country on the globe and answering questions about that country. Risk without the violence and a lot more Trivial Pursuit.

5. Have you ever tried billiards?

Yes, but I’m really bad at it. It’s a miracle if the cue actually connects with a ball much less hitting something else to score.

6. Are you a card player? Gambler? Rook player? Go Fish? Do tell.

Absolutely, I’ll play any card game for any reasons, but prefer bidding games with Pinochle being my favorite, though I would like to take up Bridge with a vengeance if I could find a group to tolerate me while I learned more than just the basics.

7.  Do you prefer the summer or winter sports games?

For the Olympics I have favorites in both. In Summer the gymnastics and in winter oddly enough Curling.

Feel free to take a swing at the game with your choices.

About Me

Retired great grandmother living in the Northwest US. Former radio Public Service Director and National Accounts Manager.

I’m a hair-dishevelled heilan’ coo,
Hamish McKay be ma name;
Welcome tae this dreichet glen
I’m cursed tae ca’ ma hame.
Depending on the mood I’m in
I’ll raise ma horns on high,
An’ if I like the look o’ ye
I’ll likely let ye by.
But should I dinnae like the look
O’ ye, then tak great care,
I’ll raise ma horns on high again,
Go on, get oot o’there!
So whether welcome yae or nae,
I’ll raise these horns sae mean,
Then ye shall ken ma meaning
By the twinkle o’ ma een.
