Theme Music – Five On Friday

It’s been a long while since I have done a Five On Friday group and I’m in a mood for my personal songs so I will lead off with the one I consider the walk in theme:

Hugh Jackman is on tour and he doesn’t sing my favorite Peter Allen song which isn’t even on You Tube but you can find it on an album if you are curious:  5 O’Clock In L.A. so will substitute my second favorite with his beautiful version of  Tenterfield Saddler

Once upon a time, I had a husband.  One of the ways he courted was a guitar and a song that I still remember fondly:  Whistling Gypsy Rover

Every year I say goodbye to fall with a great Mercer song:  When October Goes

And just to say goodnight, my children’s lullabye

About Me

Retired great grandmother living in the Northwest US. Former radio Public Service Director and National Accounts Manager.

I’m a hair-dishevelled heilan’ coo,
Hamish McKay be ma name;
Welcome tae this dreichet glen
I’m cursed tae ca’ ma hame.
Depending on the mood I’m in
I’ll raise ma horns on high,
An’ if I like the look o’ ye
I’ll likely let ye by.
But should I dinnae like the look
O’ ye, then tak great care,
I’ll raise ma horns on high again,
Go on, get oot o’there!
So whether welcome yae or nae,
I’ll raise these horns sae mean,
Then ye shall ken ma meaning
By the twinkle o’ ma een.
