I have it, not really, on good authority that Joe’s primary responsibility during all his hours spent with the president is guarding the ‘football’. ~~~

Joe Biden’s disastrous GOP strategy: Why making a campaign about “bipartisanship” can only end in failure
Biden has had a first-row seat for Republican intransigence. So why’s he talking about “reaching across the aisle”?

So we can blame all the things we don’t like about Obama on Joe?

I know that Joe got caught reading a British pol.s speech as if it were his own, but didn’t he also get caught embellishing his resume? or was that one of the other dwarves in the 88 or 92 elections.?

He plagiarized papers in college and pobably has overstated things

I think this baloney is encouraged by Obamarama and this brings up all the dishonest crap they pulled in the 2008 campaign. Biden is loser and his campaign if he gets in will take the same trajectory as Fred Thompson Valerie Jarrett should get used to not being in the white house

If I were Hillary I would arrive at the hearing with all the previous reports and the report authors
and lets just see if there is anything new the jerkwads can turn up

Okay, Joe, where will the Keystone be with Trudeau as PM? And what will the Prez do with Trudeau pulling his fighters out of the battle against ISIS? Surely the candidates have a duty to say where they would head on such matters.

  9. patd Avatar

In his first news conference following the sweeping majority Liberal victory in Canada’s federal election, the visibly fatigued leader said he had spoken with US president Barack Obama in a phone call during which he discussed his intention to pull Canada’s fighter jets out of the anti-Isis campaign.
“I committed that we would continue to engage in a responsible way that understands how important Canada’s role is to play in the fight against Isil, but he understands the commitments I’ve made about ending the combat mission,” Trudeau said.

After listening to Joe Biden’s speech today in the Rose Garden of all places i’m glad he didn’t run.. I think it would have been a disaster for him.. A more outdated candidacy i can’t imagine.. .. The lecture on Republicans not being are enemy, just are opposition, wtf??? Where has Joe been the last 7 years? The way they have treated Obama and now Hillary with their partisan Benghazi government funded witch hunt.. Oh and how Democrats shouldn’t run away from Obama, what, Hillary has said she wants to build on and go farther than Obama..VP Joe says he won’t be silent, oh god.. Enough Joe..

    1. patd Avatar

I thought it was weird for Obama to be at the press conference. It was like he pushed Biden out there as soon as he got the answer he wanted.

Biden Exit Opens Door For Powerful Clinton Coalition
By bowing out, Biden increases odds Clinton can consolidate voters of color and working-class whites. That will pressure Sanders to expand his base.

Yep them youngsters need to learn a lesson, beside HRC’s trophies collected the last time she appeared before a Congressional committee are getting old and ragged. Gowdy’s jewels on her belt is just what she needs to scare the bejeesus out of the Reps when she is Prez.

The difference between HRC and your average Congress critter is She comes prepared, they let their staff feed them questions, most times they don’t understand the issues well enough to ask intelligent follow ups.

Jim Webb’s Campaign Ends, Leaving More Questions Than Answers
For example: What was the Jim Webb campaign, anyway?

    “2. Who was Craig Crawford?

Just wondering, because a lot of reporters had the impression that Crawford was the guy we were supposed to call when we needed answers about the campaign. But I’m on what’s apparently a long list of people who never heard back from him.

Just yesterday one of my colleagues was wondering how to get in touch with Craig Crawford, and I thought to myself, “Well, I have an email for him, but what’s the point?” To this day, I don’t know what Craig Crawford is. An imaginary friend? A blow-up doll? One of those balls from “The Last Man On Earth?” It’s a mystery — one that you, Jim Webb, might have unwound for everyone at the outset by just insisting that he get back to reporters.

You should know that at the time I tried to contact him, I was really, really hoping to talk to anyone with anything positive to say about “Webb 2016.” Maybe this is why there weren’t a lot of positive things written about your campaign? Just something to think about.”
    Ooch!

tony, that huffpo piece was pretty brutal. have a feeling fearless leader’s fearless leader is a micro-manager down to the last nano and that craig had little leeway to play the role of spokesman…. if the one for whom you speak doesn’t say speak and doesn’t want anything spoken or is not clear as to the direction….

      from http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2015/10/jim-webb-drops-out-of-democratic-race
“If we ran an independent race that worked and got traction, I honestly could see us beating both of them,” he said. Craig Crawford, Webb’s spokesman, told CNN that he expects Webb to make a decision on whether he’ll make an independent bid for the presidency “by the holidays.”

      ….see what I mean?

    from http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2015/10/22/can-hillary-clinton-underperform-barack-obama-with-white-voters-and-win/
As WSJ’s Peter Nicholas wrote on Tuesday, this week’s Journal/NBC News poll found that 64% of white men hold an unfavorable view of Mrs. Clinton, compared with just 26% who see her in a positive light. That’s a gap of 38 points.
It’s about as poor a rating as Mr. Obama received at one of the lowest points of his presidency: In December 2013, amid the troubled rollout of healthcare.gov and after the government shutdown that year, Mr. Obama was viewed unfavorably by 67% of white men and favorably by 29%—a 38-point difference that matches Mrs. Clinton’s gap today.
If Mrs. Clinton’s favorability numbers translate into voting behavior, she would be in a pretty deep hole: Her 26% favorable rating among white men is lower than the 35% share that Mr. Obama won in the 2012 election.
While white Americans are shrinking as a share of the voting pool, they will be a majority in the electorate for many years: White men account for about a third of all voters, and whites overall will account for 69% or 70% of the 2016 electorate.

About Me

Retired great grandmother living in the Northwest US. Former radio Public Service Director and National Accounts Manager.

I’m a hair-dishevelled heilan’ coo,
Hamish McKay be ma name;
Welcome tae this dreichet glen
I’m cursed tae ca’ ma hame.
Depending on the mood I’m in
I’ll raise ma horns on high,
An’ if I like the look o’ ye
I’ll likely let ye by.
But should I dinnae like the look
O’ ye, then tak great care,
I’ll raise ma horns on high again,
Go on, get oot o’there!
So whether welcome yae or nae,
I’ll raise these horns sae mean,
Then ye shall ken ma meaning
By the twinkle o’ ma een.
