5 On Friday – Dripping Wet

While the first day of summer arrived recently, Washington has been steady off and on rain from teasing peaks of sun to light drizzle to massive sudden downpour. The weather guy must be looking at the spring equinox date. This has put me in a mood for rain songs:

From the Fantastics – Soon It’s Gonna Rain

Early 60’s and The Cascades – Listen to the Rhythm of the Rain

My Favorite Paul Williams song – Rainy Days and Mondays

Just a little bit country with Waylon Jennings – Rainy Day Woman

And in answer to this question, I can answer, “Why yes I have!” – Creedence Clearwater – Have You Ever Seen The Rain

The Cascades and C.C.R tunes hit the spot for me.

It’s literally pouring sheets of rain right now. LOL! A perfect set for me. By the way — the number 5 umbrella is almost my umbrella. I just have a different Claude Monet print on it (of flower-covered houses.)

That’s good stuff right there. I didn’t mind those last few storms heading into the solstice. I could have done without the spike in temperature up into the 90s though.

About Me

Retired great grandmother living in the Northwest US. Former radio Public Service Director and National Accounts Manager.

I’m a hair-dishevelled heilan’ coo,
Hamish McKay be ma name;
Welcome tae this dreichet glen
I’m cursed tae ca’ ma hame.
Depending on the mood I’m in
I’ll raise ma horns on high,
An’ if I like the look o’ ye
I’ll likely let ye by.
But should I dinnae like the look
O’ ye, then tak great care,
I’ll raise ma horns on high again,
Go on, get oot o’there!
So whether welcome yae or nae,
I’ll raise these horns sae mean,
Then ye shall ken ma meaning
By the twinkle o’ ma een.
