I’m Easy – the lyric is so good. Keith Carradine had a way of using unexpected metaphor and simile in his songwriting that gave the end result a timeless quality. “And when your eyes throw light at mine it’s enough to change my mind”. That’s poetry.
Which is exactly why it deserved to win.
